A Very Lazy Halloween Ghost

Image

A mischievous sloth dressed as a ghost surprises a startled woman with a playful “Pikabooo!” in a cozy Halloween bedroom.
He spent all day preparing his Halloween costume. She was not expecting the world’s laziest little ghost to be this scary. 👻🎃

Meet our Halloween sloth. He has a sheet, a pumpkin full of candy, and one big surprise.

He waits… waits a little longer…

PIKABOOO!!! 👻

Well, that got a reaction! Our Halloween sloth may not be the scariest ghost around, but at least he didn’t have to move very fast to cause a fright.

Happy Halloween! 🎃

International Animation Day: The Final Render

Image

International Animation Day comic showing a 3D animation render stuck at 89%, 98%, and 99% while the animator falls asleep and a skeleton keeps waiting.

Animation is all about bringing characters to life. Rendering, on the other hand, is about learning to wait.

At 89%, everything looks promising. At 98%, hope remains. At 99%, the animator gets some sleep. By the next day, even a skeleton is still waiting, and the progress bar promises just one more minute.

Learn more about International Animation Day on ASIFA’s official website.

Happy International Animation Day! May your frames be smooth, your keyframes behave, and your renders finish before retirement. 🎬💀

International Sloth Day: Wild and Free

Image

Four-panel World Sloth Day illustration showing Sid in a volcanic eruption, clinging to Arctic ice, snorkeling in a tropical reef beside a sea turtle, and riding a dinosaur at sunset, beneath a leafy wooden “World Sloth Day · Wild & Free” badge.
Wild & free. Mostly because nobody has caught him yet. 🦥

International Sloth Day is celebrated on October 20 to raise awareness of sloths, the threats they face, and the importance of protecting them in the wild. The Sloth Conservation Foundation marks the day with its annual Slothtober campaign. Discover International Sloth Day and how to help protect sloths.

Four adventures. Zero sensible decisions.

Sid’s idea of celebrating Wild & Free? Volcano chaos, icy trouble, underwater madness, and a dinosaur taxi. Four adventures. Zero sensible decisions. Honestly, that dinosaur deserves a vacation.

World Mental Health Day: Your Brain Needs a Day Off

Image

An older bearded man and his golden retriever relax on a wooden dock beside a mountain lake at sunset, with a Mental Health Day sign and the message “Clearer Mind, Happier You… Take a Break.”
Today’s meeting: me, the dog, and the sunset.
Agenda: reloading. 🌅🐾🧠

World Mental Health Day falls on October 10. The 2026 campaign theme, “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change,” calls for people with lived experience of mental health conditions to help shape the support and decisions that affect them. Read more in the World Health Organization’s 2026 campaign.

Our AL reminder is a little simpler: your brain is not an office computer that must stay online 24/7.

Step away from the notifications, take a breath, and let your mind reload. A break won’t solve everything, but rest is a pretty good place to start. 🌲🧠
